Common Questions:
Are tryouts mandatory?
No, tryouts are not mandatory. If your child is unable to attend, their name will be added to the "hat pick" for the draft. A hat pick means a name is randomly selected from a hat to be assigned to a team, ensuring every player has a spot even if they don’t attend tryouts.
I'm part of Tee-ball, Coach Pitch 5/6, or Juniors- do I need to try-out?
No, try-outs are not held for these divisions. Teams will instead be formed by the Head Player Agent.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a glove, bat, hat (optional), and plenty of water to stay hydrated.
What will my child be expected to do at tryouts?
They should be prepared to bat 3-5 times and demonstrate basic fielding skills. Coaches will evaluate pitching and catching during the tryouts as well.
How long do try-outs last?
Try-outs typically last 1.5-2 hours.
When do practices start?
Practices will begin the week of February 2.
What happens after tryouts?
Coaches will meet on Monday and Tuesday after tryouts to complete the draft. This is an in-person process for coaches and assistant coaches only. The draft results will be posted on our website between Wednesday and Friday.
